Role in the project

Propoint main task is to develop precision gripper and material handling solutions adapted to natural fibre materials used in biocomposites. This involves designing and engineering high-precision grippers that can reliably pick up and position variable natural fibre fabrics or components during the manufacturing process. These specialised grippers are tailored to address the unique challenges posed by natural fibres (such as variability in weight, size and structure), enabling automated and flexible handling in the production of bio-composite parts.
Gripper 1 :
Use of an existing gripper design from a former project and adapt it to the specific needs of draping a boat hull.
